GHG Reductions
The replacement of incandescent bulbs (IBs) in residential light points with long-life high-efficiency compact fluorescent lamps (CFLs) in Pakistan.
Demand Side Management (DSM), entailing Energy Efficiency is defined as a program that aims at changing the timing or quantity of electricity usage by the customers. Electricity DSM strategies have the goal of maximizing end-use efficiency to reduce demand and thus avoid or postpone construction of new generating plants.
The Project will be implemented and managed by Coactive CO2. The bulk distribution of CFLs through CDM will defer new investments for peaking generating capacities, generate electricity savings, avoid CO2 emissions and advance CFL market transformation in the domestic sector of the country. read more
